Ambra Health Partners with MC Healthcare to Launch Cloud Medical Imaging Platform in Japan

MC Healthcare, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation, partnered with Intelerad to solve a persistent workflow problem for a leading breast cancer center and its two mobile mammography vans: patient imaging was burned to CDs that had to be driven or mailed to clinics and specialists, causing delays, errors, and slow second-opinion turnaround across a healthcare system where seamless image sharing is crucial for thousands of hospitals in Japan.

Intelerad implemented a cloud medical imaging platform and lightweight gateway that uploads studies directly from the vans to the cloud, integrates with hospital PACS, and is localized for Japan (APPI-compliant, Tokyo datacenter, Japanese UI). The result was the elimination of CDs, instantaneous image review and second opinions, faster time-to-care, and increased patient throughput — addressing the nationwide need for seamless imaging exchange across Japan.
