Zero Envy maps a net zero path by 2035 with Integrated Environmental Solutions

Zero Envy was hired to develop a decarbonization strategy for CalPERS's Lincoln Plaza North, an existing government office building in Sacramento, California, with the challenge of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2035. To meet this goal, they leveraged software from Integrated Environmental Solutions, including the IESVE tools ModelIT, ApacheHVAC, and the VEScripts Python API.

Integrated Environmental Solutions' technology was used to create a calibrated Digital Twin energy model of the building, which was instrumental in analyzing and developing eight targeted decarbonization solutions. These solutions, which included optimizations to HVAC fan systems and a recommendation to replace gas boilers with heat pumps, provided a clear, year-by-year roadmap for the project to successfully achieve its ambitious carbon-neutral targets.
