Zero Envy cuts TDV energy 46% with Integrated Environmental Solutions

Zero Envy, a higher education institution and medical research facility, worked with Integrated Environmental Solutions to overcome the challenge of modeling innovative energy efficiency measures for compliance with California's Title 24 energy code. The prescribed state software could not accommodate their advanced building designs, so they utilized the IESVE (Virtual Environment) software to accurately simulate and quantify the performance of their custom systems.

Using the IESVE software from Integrated Environmental Solutions, Zero Envy implemented solutions like unique 4-pipe VAV terminal units and centralized demand-controlled ventilation. This resulted in energy savings of 46% and 38% below code requirements, equating to annual cost savings of $400,000 and $170,000. Furthermore, the projects were awarded a total of $650,000 in utility incentives through the Savings by Design program.
