WSP worked with Integrated Environmental Solutions to design a more efficient central energy system for Central Park in Sydney, a large mixed-use development spanning residential, commercial, retail, and historical spaces. To support the project, WSP used IESVE to build a realistic 3D virtual model of the site and its surrounding environment, helping assess thermal demand and identify the best system configuration.

Using the insights from IESVE, Integrated Environmental Solutions helped WSP implement a tri-generation-based Central Thermal Plant serving the development’s first phase. The system provides electricity, heating, cooling, and domestic hot water to 14 buildings, improves infrastructure efficiency by 20%, and is expected to save 136,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions over 25 years.
