VE Solutions Group used Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) software to optimise the HVAC design for the Four Seasons Hotel, New York, a 70-story five-star luxury tower in downtown Manhattan. The challenge was to size HVAC systems accurately while maintaining comfort in a humid climate and accounting for complex building loads.

Using IES VE, including ApacheSim, ApacheHVAC and SunCast, VE Solutions created a 3D model from architectural drawings to analyse heat gains, comfort levels and equipment performance by room. Integrated Environmental Solutions helped reduce the amount of HVAC equipment, ductwork and piping required, lowering costs while improving comfort and dehumidification performance.
