True Energy Solutions delivers Lithuania’s first BREEAM Excellent project with Integrated Environmental Solutions

Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) worked with True Energy Solutions, a consultancy appointed for the BREEAM certification of the Saltoniskiu 7 business centre, to perform whole building energy and daylight modelling using the IESVE software. The challenge was to assess low and zero carbon technologies, determine the optimal capacity for a heat pump, and provide early predictions of energy consumption to assist with tenant negotiations.

Using IES's VE software and its SunCast and RadianceIES applications, TES was able to model energy demand, solar exposure, and daylight distribution. This enabled informed decisions on system sizing and the inclusion of external blinds to reduce cooling loads. The solution allowed the project to become the first in Lithuania to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating and a European Energy Class A certification. IES also provided a major time saving by allowing the model data to be easily exported for life cycle analysis.
