The Trent Basin community, a low-energy housing development in Nottingham, faced the challenge of promoting public engagement in its groundbreaking energy scheme and communicating the results of its renewable energy generation and storage initiatives. Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) was selected to address this using its iCIM, iCD, and iSCAN technology to create an interactive platform for visualizing real-time energy data.

Integrated Environmental Solutions developed a pioneering 3D Community Interaction Model, providing an online platform and a 147-inch touch screen for residents to view real-time data on energy generation, storage, and consumption. This solution allowed the community to compare household-level data with community averages, see energy sold to the grid, and understand the project's impact through comparative monetary and carbon costs, fostering informed choices and optimizing the scheme's operation for all residents.
