Stirling and Clackmannanshire Councils map a net-zero road to 2045 with Integrated Environmental Solutions

Stirling and Clackmannanshire Councils aimed to create a roadmap to transform their region into a carbon-neutral area by 2045. To address this challenge, they partnered with Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES), which utilized its state-of-the-art digital twin technology to develop a comprehensive Regional Energy Masterplan.

Integrated Environmental Solutions created a physics-based digital twin model of the region to simulate energy demands and test various decarbonization scenarios. This ongoing resource provided a detailed roadmap to net-zero, projecting that implementing the plan would reduce current building emissions of 373 ktCO2e. The solution is also designed to reduce fuel poverty, increase energy security, and create new businesses and jobs across the region.
