SSE Enterprise Energy Solutions saves 118 tonnes of CO2 with Integrated Environmental Solutions

SSE Enterprise Energy Solutions, working on behalf of a UK local authority, faced the challenge of retrofitting a council office building to meet modern energy efficiency standards with limited financial resources. The building had outdated, inefficient heating and cooling systems, including gas boilers and computer room air conditioning units for a large server room. Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) provided its ICL Digital Twin technology and VE software to help model and guarantee the savings for this energy performance contract.

Integrated Environmental Solutions' technology enabled SSE to create a highly accurate digital twin of the building using a Daikin VRV plug-in. This model predicted the performance of a new heat recovery system that recycles waste heat from the server room. The solution delivered exceptional results, including £11,601 in annual savings and a reduction of 118 tonnes of CO2 emissions, significantly exceeding the original guaranteed savings forecast.
