SEEDS International - Customer Case Study

SEEDS International, working with Integrated Environmental Solutions, supported the masterplan development of Bahrain International Airport in Manama. The challenge was to optimize the design of a large, 250,000 m² terminal expansion for a harsh climate while meeting LEED Gold requirements and managing the complexity of a 24/7, multi-functional airport facility.

Using Integrated Environmental Solutions’ IESVE platform, SEEDS International conducted detailed energy modelling with ASHRAE 90.1 LEED Energy analysis to evaluate building performance and test cost-efficient options across the façade, lighting, and HVAC systems. The study helped verify cost savings, reduce heat gain and energy demand, and improve energy use intensity for the airport’s projected annual consumption of 77,857 MWh, supporting compliance with LEED targets.
