reLoad Sustainable Design Inc. used the IESVE from Integrated Environmental Solutions to model a new addition for the MacBride Museum of Yukon History in Whitehorse, a very cold northern Canadian climate. The museum needed a low-carbon, energy-efficient expansion to handle increased summer visitor numbers while meeting Canadian energy code requirements and controlling operating costs.

Using Integrated Environmental Solutions’ IESVE, reLoad Sustainable Design analyzed design options and identified several energy conservation measures, including heat recovery units, CO2 sensors, and optimized start-up and lighting schedules. The proposed design delivered measurable improvements versus NECB 11, including 37% lower carbon emissions, 38% lower energy costs, and 41% lower peak demand, helping the museum achieve a highly efficient and cost-effective solution.
