Integrated Environmental Solutions provided its python scripting service to Red Shed, a manufacturer of the MicroShade product. The challenge was to ensure that architects and engineers could correctly and consistently import Red Shed's complex shading products into their building models within the VE software, a process that was previously manual and prone to error.

The solution implemented by Integrated Environmental Solutions was the creation of a custom VE Navigator. This tool automated the import of MicroShade product types for both facades and roofs, ensuring the product was always correctly defined in the model. This provided quality assurance, saved modellers time, and facilitated accurate building performance simulations with the confidence that the shading properties were accurately represented.
