Nutech Packaging Factory achieves LEED Gold with Integrated Environmental Solutions

The Nutech Packaging Factory sought to become one of India's most sustainable factories and achieve LEED Gold certification for its new facility in Uttar Pradesh. To meet this challenge, the sustainability consultants dbHMS used the IES Virtual Environment (IESVE) software from Integrated Environmental Solutions to perform detailed energy modelling and daylighting studies.

Integrated Environmental Solutions' IESVE software enabled dbHMS to model various construction options and determine the most effective building envelope to limit heat gains. The analysis informed key design decisions, including the selection of specific wall, roof, and glazing materials and establishing that a 40% glazed area with skylights was optimal for daylighting. As a result, the Nutech Packaging Factory successfully achieved LEED Gold certification and is recognized as one of India's most sustainable factories.
