National Community Renaissance (National CORE), a developer of affordable housing, faced the challenge of managing long-term operational costs for their projects within fixed construction budgets. To address this, they partnered with Integrated Environmental Solutions and utilized the IESVE software to analyze and optimize the operational economics of their building designs.

Integrated Environmental Solutions' IESVE software enabled National CORE to perform detailed energy analysis, including submetering to isolate common area energy use from residential consumption. This allowed them to strategically allocate on-site renewable energy, often achieving Zero Net Energy for common areas and significantly reducing long-term operating costs. For the Santa Fe Senior Village project, they were able to precisely anticipate annual energy costs and use the analysis to drive design decisions that minimize expenses.
