GWP Project Services was tasked with delivering phase one of the University of Cumbria Student Village on an old industrial site in just eight months, while also adapting quickly to updated BREEAM 2011 requirements. Working with Integrated Environmental Solutions, the team needed a way to educate the full design team, manage evidence, and meet the stricter sustainability targets from the outset, using IES TaP.

Integrated Environmental Solutions helped GWP Project Services use IES TaP to coordinate specialists, identify an energy strategy fix, and keep the project on schedule. By selecting Alpha boilers to cut emissions and streamline BREEAM evidence submission, the project achieved a score of 86.12% and became the first building to earn an Outstanding rating under BREEAM 2011, while also making the assessment process more efficient and profitable.
