Glasgow City Council cuts park carbon emissions 34% with Integrated Environmental Solutions

The customer, Glasgow City Council, faced the challenge of meeting its commitment to become net zero carbon by 2030, specifically for its Pollok Country Park estate. To address this, they worked with vendor Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) to utilize their Digital Twin technology and iVN network modelling tool to investigate making the park energy independent.

Integrated Environmental Solutions created a live Digital Twin of the park to model various net-zero scenarios. The solution showed that planned building improvements would reduce carbon emissions by 34%, and modelling demonstrated that net zero carbon could be achieved by interconnecting buildings and adding battery storage and renewables. IES provided the council with the data and possible solutions to meet its 2030 goal.
