Case Study: GBCSA streamlines Green Star submissions with Integrated Environmental Solutions

GBCSA, the Green Building Council South Africa, needed a better way to manage growing volumes of Green Star South Africa submissions and improve the quality and tracking of project evidence. Working with Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES), it sought an online certification system built using IES TaP to streamline submissions and support assessors, case managers, and Accredited Professionals.

Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) developed the GBCSA Certification Engine over about six months, first launching project management tools for Existing Building Performance and Interiors, then adding New Construction tools. The platform went live in late 2014 and centralized all submissions in one database, helping GBCSA handle higher volumes, speed up internal review rounds, improve collaboration, and extract business intelligence and reporting data more easily.
