Foster + Partners achieves LEED Gold with Integrated Environmental Solutions

Foster + Partners, a global architecture and engineering practice, sought to embed sustainability at the heart of its projects and close the performance gap between predicted and actual building energy use. To achieve this, they partnered with Integrated Environmental Solutions and utilized its IES Virtual Environment (IESVE) software throughout the pre-design and design stages to meet client briefs and stringent environmental targets.

Integrated Environmental Solutions provided the IESVE software, which enabled detailed energy modeling and analysis from the earliest project stages. This solution allowed Foster + Partners to successfully design the LEED Gold-certified Samson Pavilion and the Beijing Office Tower, which was optimized to align with China's carbon neutrality targets. The use of IESVE ensured accurate performance predictions, leading to energy-efficient buildings that perform as intended in operation.
