Case Study: dbHMS achieves LEED Gold sustainable factory design with Integrated Environmental Solutions (IESVE)

dbHMS, a sustainability and building services consultancy, needed to help design the new Nutech Packaging Factory in Uttar Pradesh as one of India’s most sustainable industrial facilities. To support the project, dbHMS used Integrated Environmental Solutions’ IESVE software for detailed daylighting studies and energy modelling to assess design options for the factory and offices.

Using IESVE, Integrated Environmental Solutions enabled dbHMS to compare construction and glazing choices, optimize the building form, and improve thermal performance and daylighting. The final design used autoclaved aircrete block walls, high-performance single-glazed windows, and a 150mm reinforced concrete slab roof with 50mm insulation, while 40% glazing plus skylights met required lux levels. The project achieved LEED Gold certification, helping make Nutech one of India’s most sustainable factories.
