CBG Consultants used Integrated Environmental Solutions’ IES Revit plug-in to improve its BIM workflow on projects including Thrayle House in London and Thomas Gainsborough School in Suffolk. Their challenge was importing complex Revit models into IESVE for analysis, with issues such as linked models, incorrect room volumes, balconies not exporting, segmented geometry, room separators, and elements incorrectly set as room bounding.

Using Integrated Environmental Solutions’ IES Revit plug-in and ModelIT, CBG Consultants were able to successfully export the full building shell, clean up geometry, correct room volumes, and add the right windows, openings, and other elements for analysis. The result was a faster, smoother workflow, better collaboration between Revit and IESVE teams, and improved access to BIM4Analysis benefits, including useful solar analysis tools.
