Boca Raton Regional Hospital achieves 40.22% energy savings with Integrated Environmental Solutions

Boca Raton Regional Hospital was undergoing an extensive retrofit and required detailed energy modeling to ensure its new patient tower complied with the 2020 Florida Building Energy Code. Integrated Environmental Solutions provided its IES Virtual Environment (IESVE) software to assist the hospital's engineering partner, TLC Engineering Solutions, in this challenge.

Using the IESVE, the team modeled numerous Energy Conservation Measures, including bespoke shading elements that reduced the solar load on patient rooms to near zero. The solution implemented by Integrated Environmental Solutions enabled the hospital to achieve a 40.22% energy reduction, providing significant savings for the owner.
