The customer, ASHRAE, a global professional society, required the renovation of their Atlanta headquarters into a net-zero energy building. Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) supported this challenge through the use of their IESVE building performance modeling software to aid in the simulation-aided design process.

Integrated Environmental Solutions' solution involved creating a model to analyze and optimize numerous design strategies. This included an all-electric design with a large photovoltaic array, dedicated outdoor air systems, and advanced ventilation, resulting in an exceptional daylight performance and a targeted Energy Use Intensity of just 21 kBtu/ft2 for the net-zero energy ready building.
