A400 achieves 25% energy savings with Integrated Environmental Solutions

The customer, A400, faced the challenge of designing an energy-efficient commercial office building in Lisbon. To quantify potential energy savings and optimize the design, they turned to the vendor, Integrated Environmental Solutions, and employed their IES Virtual Environment (IESVE) software for whole building energy simulation.

Integrated Environmental Solutions implemented a detailed 3D analysis model using IESVE to assess energy and cost-effective measures. The solution included optimizing the building's glass façade, performing daylight modeling to reduce lighting energy, and studying HVAC control strategies. As a result, the building achieved a Portuguese energy class A certification and realized 25% energy savings.
