Case Study: Ministry of Agriculture improves pesticide management with Integrated Digital Systems' LPMS mobile apps

Ministry of Agriculture deploys 2 mobile apps with Integrated Digital Systems

The Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) faced a challenge in managing and monitoring the registration, import, export, and use of agricultural pesticides across Lebanon. To combat the generation and usage of obsolete pesticides, the MOA partnered with Integrated Digital Systems (IDS) to develop a comprehensive digital solution, the Lebanese Pesticide Management System (LPMS).

Integrated Digital Systems implemented the LPMS, which included two key mobile applications. The LebPhyto app allows stakeholders to search a database of registered pesticides offline, while the Inspector app enables MOA officials to conduct and record on-site inspections offline. This solution automated and centralized all pesticide data management for the ministry, successfully helping to reduce obsolete pesticide generation and usage.
