Hamilton Lane, an alternative investment management firm, needed a better way to manage relationship data across its Fund Investments, Secondary Investments, and Co-Investments teams. As the company grew and prepared for an IPO, its teams were relying on separate systems, email, Excel spreadsheets, and internal tools, which made it difficult to track who was contacting clients, prospects, and counterparties and about what. Intapp, through its DealCloud platform, was brought in to help create a more unified and transparent approach.

Intapp implemented DealCloud as a single enterprise-wide platform for deal, relationship, and firm management, consolidating 28 systems and processes into one shared solution. The rollout improved visibility and efficiency across investment, relationship management, business development, and product teams, eliminated 55,000 internal emails, and gave Hamilton Lane a centralized place for business development opportunities, client data, communication history, and fundraising activity.
