Alliance for Responsible Mining (ARM) needed a professional IT solution to manage the growing demand for Fairmined certified gold, along with complex inspection, certification, and traceability requirements across the Fairmined supply chain. ARM wanted a simple, efficient system that could be used by miners, operators, licensees, and certification bodies, while also giving ARM oversight of reporting and auditing. Intact Systems implemented a certificate database with transaction tracking, enabling inspection bodies to record audit and certification data electronically and making it available to ARM and inspected organizations. The solution reduced data input errors, improved the efficiency of certification and internal processes, and strengthened chain-of-custody control for Fairmined transactions.
