Sercel, a leading player in seismic acquisition, needed to build eSQCPro, a next-generation seismic QC application with real-time web access, secure access, a shared GUI for web and truck users, customizable displays, low-bandwidth support, and the ability to handle very large data sets refreshed every few seconds. Sercel worked with INT Software, using INT J/GeoToolkit to help develop the application’s graphical views and user interface.

INT Software implemented a client/server architecture with XML/HTTP messaging and Java-based client software, while Sercel handled the server and data compression. INT built reusable bean-based graphic components for seismic graphics, histograms, and colored maps, and also improved the application’s usability and look and feel. The collaboration enabled Sercel to deliver eSQCPro in a remarkably short time and achieve a timely release as a key milestone in its e-Generation platform.
