Case Study: Roxar achieves faster, more interactive well correlation software with INT Software GeoToolkit C++

Roxar uses GeoToolkit C++ along with Qt to create next generation Well Correlation software for RMS

Roxar, a business unit of Emerson Process Management, needed to modernize its RMSwellstrat well correlation and geological interpretation tool for Irap RMS so it could handle hundreds of wells with strong 3D graphical performance, full interactivity, and a more usable, modern interface. To support this, Roxar worked with INT Software and used INT’s GeoToolkit C++ along with Qt, including the WellLog component, for the new software version.

INT Software helped Roxar rewrite the correlation view and optimize GeoToolkit C++ to meet performance needs for large datasets, while also providing strong hardcopy and print preview support. The result was the release of the new correlation software in Irap RMS 2010, which customers received well, with improved functionality, display quality, and printing features, and Roxar later continued using INT Software’s GeoToolkit C++ in other projects as well.
