Earth Decision Sciences - Customer Case Study

Earth Decision Sciences needed a fast way to build a cross-platform suite of 2D tools for interpreting, displaying, and quality-checking geologic data in single-well views, multi-well cross sections, and maps. To meet this need, the company selected INT Software’s GeoToolkit C++ software components for its new application, which had to support C++, Qt, and Solaris, SGI, Windows, and Linux.

INT Software provided GeoToolkit components for seismic, log, and contour displays, and even contributed a developer to help accelerate delivery. Earth Decision Sciences launched Views2D, which became an important part of the Gocad Earth Modeling workflow, while INT Software and Earth Decision Sciences continued collaborating on new functionality. The project shortened development time for a complex application and led to enhancements in GeoToolkit, including deviated well display and support for complex fault systems.
