Buckeye Insurance Group was operating a 20-year homegrown mainframe system that tied up IT resources, required scarce RPG expertise, used green‑screen interfaces that made training and temporary staffing difficult, and limited the company’s ability to innovate. To modernize, Buckeye selected Insuresoft and implemented its Diamond System (Diamond 4.0).
Insuresoft’s Diamond 4.0 went live in September 2000 and, within six months, completed personal‑auto data conversion with 10,000 policies on the new platform and achieved 90–95% data conversion versus the roughly 75% initially expected. The Insuresoft solution enabled out‑of‑sequence endorsements, retained previous policy images, reduced maintenance overhead, and freed Buckeye’s IT team to focus on agent-facing improvements and product review, materially improving operational flexibility.
