FLIR, a manufacturer of thermal imaging cameras, faced challenges in developing its next-generation FLIR ONE and FLIR ONE Pro accessories due to increased design complexity and the need to onboard a new factory partner with limited experience. Instrumental implemented its system on the assembly line to capture and analyze images of the product during the build process. The results included a 75% reduction in travel for some team members, and the product was brought to mass production with increased speed, lower cost, and higher quality, leading FLIR to keep the Instrumental system in place for ongoing production monitoring.
