Utah strengthens 5-year edtech planning with Instructure

The state of Utah, through its Utah State Board of Education (USBE), faced a challenge in supporting its local education agencies (LEAs) to comply with a state senate bill requiring the reporting and monitoring of educational technology effectiveness. LEAs were unsure how to organize, analyze, and make data-driven decisions about their edtech tools. To address this, USBE partnered with vendor Instructure and its LearnPlatform service to provide a solution.

Instructure's LearnPlatform provided Utah's LEAs with a flexible system to monitor edtech tools and evaluate their effectiveness. The solution empowered districts to organize their technology, gather educator feedback, and, ultimately, run rapid-cycle evaluations to understand impact on student outcomes. Through this partnership with Instructure, USBE built local capacity for evidence-based decision making, helping LEAs leverage data to provide more meaningful learning experiences.
