St. Mary's College, Toowoomba, a K–12 school with a 1-to-1 ICT program and roughly 850 users, struggled to get staff buy-in with prior LMSs (CLC life, Edmodo, Moodle, Schoology, UniServi‑ty) because of complicated interfaces and workflows. Seeking a cloud-native, fully supported platform to modernize teaching, enable students to access course content anywhere, and simplify curriculum delivery, the school selected Instructure’s Canvas learning management platform in 2015.
