Rooks Heath College - Customer Case Study

Rooks Heath College, an 11–18 multicultural comprehensive in Harrow, London, needed a consistent, institution-wide learning platform to replace a clunky document repository and improve measurable progress, staff–pupil–parent collaboration, and compliance with government assessment requirements. In 2015 the college chose Canvas from Instructure to provide a modern, accessible virtual learning environment that could be rolled out quickly and used by teachers, pupils, and parents.

Instructure implemented Canvas with a staged rollout and teacher support, delivering live updates, notifications, and tools for assessment and professional development. Canvas enabled constant assessment and feedback, cut marking time by more than half through SpeedGrader, supported CPD and performance monitoring, and fostered collaboration with schools across Europe — improving progress tracking, engagement, and efficiency across the college.
