A New Approach to Learning Compliance in Higher Education

Clemson University needed a better way to track faculty and staff compliance certifications and to modernize a decentralized, manual training system that relied on consultants and email-based tracking. After an institution-wide audit and a yearlong search, Clemson selected Bridge (Instructure’s learning platform) to centralize compliance training and enable blended and online employee learning.

Instructure implemented Bridge with a six-week end-to-end rollout, giving Clemson real-time reporting, centralized content management, automated notifications, and self-directed learning capabilities. The platform drove measurable impact: nearly 70% training compliance within four months, adoption by more than 76% of faculty, staff, and student workers (over 8,000 users), tracking of over 80% of compliance certifications, and a 93% increase in completion of compliance and safety training.
