The customer, municipalities in the Netherlands managing green public transport, faced the challenge of manually monitoring numerous tram and trolleybus traction substations, which was inefficient and made real-time response to emergencies difficult. They partnered with vendor *instinctools to develop an automated control system to remotely manage these substations.

*instinctools implemented a solution consisting of a hardware-software complex, including industrial computers with Windows Embedded Standard and specialized I/O modules installed at each substation.
