Leckey Connect builds real-time pedal walker app with Instil in 3 components

Instil partnered with Leckey, a design and manufacturing company creating mobility products for children with specialist needs. Leckey's challenge was to develop a connected web and mobile application to complement their MyWay Pedal Walker. The goal was to motivate children using the walker and provide real-time feedback and historic data analysis for parents and therapists, all while meeting stringent medical software compliance standards.

Instil implemented a solution consisting of three main components: a child-friendly Android app, a backend API built in Kotlin, and a web application for therapists. This platform successfully digitized the walking experience, adding real-time interactivity and reporting. The project, developed on a minimal budget, proved the importance of this digital enhancement for both children and therapists, validating Leckey's first foray into creating a connected product experience.
