WorldStores Group turns away from traditional CDNs to embrace innovation in Application Delivery and Security

WorldStores Group (WorldStores, Achica and Kiddicare) is the UK’s largest online home and garden retailer, employing over 750 people and serving more than 45 million annual visitors across 500,000+ products. With rising mobile traffic and a mandate from CTO Nick Benjamin to modernize the technology stack, the group found its incumbent CDN could not meet scale or mobile performance needs, so they ran a tender to find a combined performance and security provider.

WorldStores implemented Instart’s AppSpeed Advance Performance Suite and AppShield Security Suite, using Nanovisor and automated image optimization to speed delivery and protect the application.
