PCI Education is a 70-employee San Antonio-based publisher of curriculum, educational games and software serving adult and special-needs learners. The company relied on a manual PTO process—three-part forms and spreadsheets—that created heavy administrative burden, lots of phone inquiries and difficulty tracking multiple pay groups, so PCI wanted an electronic system that linked timekeeping and payroll.

The result: PCI eliminated paper PTO tracking, employees can view accruals and request time off online, administrative time and calls dropped, and payroll processing fell from a full day to about 30 minutes.
