The academic staff responded positively to both the functionality and design offered by Inspera Assessment

The University of Oxford needed a scalable, reliable way to deliver online exams and manage coursework submissions after the pandemic exposed the limits of its existing VLE-based process. Working with Inspera, the University sought a more robust digital assessment platform that could support high volumes of concurrent exams, anonymous coursework submissions, and a better student and staff experience.

Inspera implemented a solution for both exams and submissions, including timed online exams with upload options, anonymised coursework workflows, and integration with SITS to standardise administration. The result was a simpler process for students and staff, faster coursework submissions averaging about five minutes, and a major exam delivery success: Oxford ran 40,000 online exams in 2021 with no uproar, giving the University “10 years ahead of schedule” progress on its digital assessment goals.
