NTNU increases digital exams to 68% with Inspera

The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway's largest university, sought to modernize its examination process. To enhance efficiency, security, and standardization, the institution partnered with vendor Inspera to implement a digital assessment solution.

Inspera's solution involved creating a dedicated, high-tech examination facility equipped with hundreds of fixed PCs and specialized equipment for diverse exam types. The implementation resulted in massive growth, from 282 digital exams in 2016 to 111,633 exams across 3,488 subjects in 2024, which now constitutes 68% of all examinations at NTNU.
