Posit, formerly known as RStudio, sought to drive greater adoption of its R statistical software within large enterprises by making it easier for users to connect to their various databases. To address this, the company partnered with insightsoftware and utilized their Simba ODBC data connectivity drivers.

insightsoftware worked closely with Posit to integrate Simba's data connectors into its flagship products, starting with the release of Posit's Professional Drivers. This collaboration provided R users with a comprehensive suite of tools for accessing enterprise data. As a result, the solution garnered significant positive feedback from the R community for standardizing connectivity and making data access easy. The successful partnership achieved Posit's major enterprise milestone, and they plan to expand the relationship by adding more drivers.
