McDonald’s Deutschland, Germany’s leading restaurant chain with 1,476 outlets, faced rapidly growing data volumes that overwhelmed its reporting systems. Finance teams struggled to maintain data hierarchies in Oracle Essbase, producing fragmented, duplicated reports and lengthy reconciliation processes (more than 30 emails a month) to align numbers. After a proof-of-concept, McDonald’s selected insightsoftware’s CXO product to meet its finance-owned reporting and integration needs.

insightsoftware implemented CXO across McDonald’s Deutschland after a four-week trial and rollout, giving finance teams a single, easy-to-manage link to Essbase. The solution is now used by 30 financial controllers, five senior staff members and more than 150 restaurant managers for reporting, forecasting and planning, and has materially improved the company’s performance reporting and operational oversight.
