Karmak, a business management solutions provider for the commercial transportation industry, needed to replace its aging Business Intelligence reporting platform. Their existing bolt-on analytics approach could not keep pace with customer demand for modern self-service reporting and dashboards, especially across users with very different technical skill levels. insightsoftware’s Logi Symphony was selected to modernize the experience and extend reporting capabilities.
Using insightsoftware’s Logi Symphony, Karmak embedded self-service analytics into its next-generation Fusion Report Writer with minimal customization, improved the look and feel, and added features like data joining and support for multiple web platforms. The solution was also integrated with Karmak’s permission structure so users could keep their existing login credentials. The result: about 90 Karmak customers are now using the tool, with positive feedback on ease of dashboard creation and accessibility for executives, managers, technicians, and IT-led reporting teams alike.
