The City of Ellensburg, which manages seven billable utilities for about 20,000 residents, struggled with complex financial reporting using Management Reporter — leaving Financial Application Specialist Brent Meyers spending roughly half his week building reports. After Microsoft announced end-of-support for Management Reporter, the city adopted insightsoftware's Jet Reports for Dynamics GP to find a faster, easier reporting solution.

The result: Brent’s report time fell from about half his week to roughly 30–60 minutes (many reports can be installed and run in five minutes), staff became self-sufficient, resources were redirected to higher priorities, and the city gained faster, more flexible access to financial data.
