ElringKlinger, a global automotive supplier with 45 sites in 20 countries, needed to consolidate heterogeneous SAP-based systems into consistent, IFRS-compliant consolidation, planning and management reporting. To address fragmented data, the company engaged insightsoftware and its IDL product suite (notably IDL Konsis and IDL Forecast) to centralize financial reporting and planning.

insightsoftware implemented an IDL-based platform (IDL Konsis, IDL Forecast, IDL Designer, IDL Xtract) on Microsoft SQL Server to integrate SAP and Excel data, producing IFRS-compliant monthly and quarterly financials for about 40 companies and enabling one-click intercompany consolidation by the 4th working day each month. The solution automated data flows and plausibility checks, improved 24/7 data quality and reporting speed, gave the finance department independent control, and materially increased the efficiency and transparency of ElringKlinger’s global finance processes.
