Datalogic, a global technology leader in automatic data capture and process automation, needed a better way to handle profitability analysis in SAP. During its CO-PA implementation, the company found that customer and document reference details had to be entered manually at the line-item level, and SAP’s 1,000 line-item limit made detailed reporting difficult. The solution enabled much richer profitability reporting, better linkage between FI and sales data, and end-to-end analysis at the production level. Datalogic reported increased productivity, improved flexibility, and a new level of detail in reporting that created better analytics and decision-making.
