Blood Centers of America’s Dashboard supports Federal Response to COVID-19

Blood Centers of America (BCA) is a cooperative of more than 50 independent blood centers that operates an online blood-exchange to match supply and demand for hospitals and care centers. Facing data overwhelm, manual exports and spreadsheets, and a sudden need to onboard external partners and provide regional and national reporting during the COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma (CCP) effort, BCA relied on insightsoftware’s embedded analytics product Logi Info to make its dashboards and data flows usable and scalable.

insightsoftware implemented Logi Info dashboards and ELT integration with BCA’s SQL server to automate data consolidation, reporting and exports, reducing manual work and supporting many new stakeholders. The solution enabled BCA to track inventory across 50+ centers, generate reports for 70+ collectors, process over 39,000 invoice lines and support the collection of 717,000 CCP doses — delivering streamlined back-office accounting and, per BCA, a 100% success in meeting the surge in demand.
