Atlas Helps Equipment Rental Company Continue Their Speedy Services while Migrating to the Cloud

Speedy Services, the UK’s largest tools and equipment hire company, faced a time‑consuming data‑upload challenge in their legacy Dynamics AX system while preparing to migrate to Dynamics 365. Using insightsoftware’s Atlas, the finance team struggled with a “complex and convoluted” upload process that required 100–200 daily uploads and took between two and 25 minutes per product, so they needed a way to recreate recurring uploads automatically and keep a familiar interface during the D365 migration.

insightsoftware implemented Atlas to let finance manage bulk uploads and validations directly from Excel, automating recurring updates and working with both AX and D365. The result was major time savings and reduced disruption—Speedy Services estimates that removing Atlas would have added about three months to the migration—while preserving user familiarity, finance autonomy, minimal retraining, and faster bulk fixes across mobile and ERP workflows.
