CarsGuide, a leading Australian online car marketplace with more than 25 million page views per month, was losing private sellers to a high abandonment rate on its used-car listing form and had no data that explained why. The CarsGuide team deployed the Insightech platform—installing tracking in seconds—to run form analysis and behavioral segmentation when the dynamic form made custom instrumentation impractical.
Insightech’s Click Map and segmented analytics revealed within hours that many users were landing on the listing form by mistake because they actually wanted to manage existing ads, not create new ones. Using those insights CarsGuide redesigned navigation to surface the correct workflow, and Insightech dashboards (via a custom Data Studio view) now track hover, interaction and submission stages—reducing erroneous bounces and improving the user experience and conversion rates.
